Never noticed this before
I never noticed this before but it looks like you can sort of see the movement underneath the Hands through a hole in the dial on this sub date. Is this normal? I know it’s not rust because it’s a brand new watch and I never noticed it on my sd43 or any other Rolex. Thanks for any input on this.

Yes that is normal. You can see the hour wheel to which the hour hand is attached, it is made of brass.
