New member (sort of) checking in!

Hi everybody!

Long time lurker here. 'Official' member since 08. I know most of you but you don't know me!

Just thought I'd introduce myself. Believe it or not, TRF has been a fairly big part of my life over the past yrs. I bought a SD 4000 (before it was discontinued) thanks to the info on various threads here. Best watch ever, even more than my Speedy!

Thanks for being such cool and knowledgeable peeps!

Welcome mate, I did the same before I first posted but everyone is very friendly.

Enjoy your time and your SD - did you go for the black or the green?

A green Sea Dweller? Now, that would be something.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

You've probably seen all the usual macro-type SD pics, but here's one I took when I first got my Rolex. Just staring at the HEV. I was later told that this was not a good way to "sit" the watch (?bracelet scratching caseback) but I'm still not too sure. Bear in mind that up until 08, the only other watch I had was a $50 Seiko quartz so "baby-ing" a watch was not in my vocabulary...
