Don't do it! Might be tempting to have the offer on the table right in front of you, but based on resale value alone I'd say you be getting the short end of the stick.

AT listed at 3.8k shown below. And comes with bracelet.
http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...=0#msg_7588070

SMP listed at 3.7k shown below.
http://forums.timezone.com/index.php...=0#msg_7588072

That's only $7500.00, whereas you can easily sell the sub for 8.5k-9k.
You'd be down about 2k if you did the trade. But obv. the watches being NIB from a dealer does add some inherent value so it's up to you. Personally I would pass and then if I decided I really did have my heart set on those two models I'd sell the sub while it's hot and then buy the omegas on the secondary market.

I think that's the smart play. You've got a great diver already and the only thing you would've been adding is the AT, so yeah...snap it up if you like it.

It's a looker.

Those are used. These are brand new AD purchased in pristine condition. I am not making the deal anyway. Thanks for the links and the research!

Exactly why I said the following:

Quality over quantity especially when your talking about a Rolex Sub.

I should make this same post in an Omega forum and see what kind of responses I get haha. I like Omega quite a bit but I am a Rolex guy all day and will always defer to the crown.

Hard Pass. Keystone price on the Omegas would be ~1/2 of the value of your Rolex. And another $500 on top of that would be adding insult to injury.

That AT goes for 3.9-4k from greys, SMP is also 4k since it is a bit hot (at least in terms of Omega) now since it is new, i bet it will go down to 3.5-3.7 range, maybe after Baselworld when Omega fans get something new to buy. So no, I wouldn't, at least financially. I wouldn't add money to trade. IMO he should pay you 500 for the trade if you really want to trade and Sub does nothing for you anymore. I can't lie I like how SMP looks and something attracts me to that AT as well, but I'd still rather have the Sub.

Never.. omega watches can not hold their value. Plus i know you will regret doing that in the future and will be forced to sell those just to buy a rolex or sub. Lose - lose

You'd be crazy to take that deal. Neither of those watches will be worth much once you walk out that door. Not that, that is the goal, but you don't give up a hard asset for a less valuable hard asset.

Add one if you must

That Omega sales person knew what they were doing. They could sell that Sub of yours for much more than $8k out the back door and meanwhile they are still getting profit margins on the 2 watches you'd be getting from them!!

I bet the employee of the omega shop wanted the sub and was going to buy the two omegas at employee pricing for a quick arb. Wouldn’t the omega boutique felt stupid having a Rolex sub in the case?

I own a 2017 AT and paid 17% off list from an AD on launch day. Immediately prior to purchasing my 116610LN in December 2018, I was offered a new SMPc from an Omega AD for 20% off list. $5400 X 80% = $4330 (AT), $4750 X 80% = $3800 (SMPc), total $8120. $500 cash plus your $7620 Sub Date. You were wise to pass, IMO, just on the numbers. The AT is a great, under the radar everyday watch and I am very pleased to own mine. The Sub is a bit too visible sometimes. That said, an Omega Seamaster is not and never will be a Rolex Submariner. Comfort, quality of materials, feel of the keyless works, you name it, the Rolex wins. Hell, just the Oyster bracelet with Glidelock is worth the price of admission.

Nope. As others have mentioned the depreciation on Omega is bad.
