Any Serti Dials fans of GMT and Sub? Check and Share here ....

Serti dials on GMT and Sub started production from period of 198x until 2012 (cmiiw). GMT Serti with Ruby last production was around 1995 and Sub Serti with Sapphire last production was around 2009.

Both GMT serti and Sub serti are available on two-tones (16713, 16613, 116613) or gold (16718, 16618, 116618 116619) and as far as I know there is no SS serti with Ruby or Blue Sapphire.

Serti dial we discuss here is refer to a set of 8 diamonds and 3 Ruby (on GMT) or 8 diamonds and 3 Blue Sapphire (on Sub). The dial color only have 2 options, Champagne or Slate. While the bezel insert color have some variation like on GMT: Black gold or Root Beer, and on Sub: Blue gold or Black gold.

Here below are possible variations bezel-dial and its reference code on warranty paper/card:
---------------------
SUBMARINER SERTI
R16613 (***) B93250
***
34S - Blue Bezel Slate Dial
32S - Blue Bezel Champagne Dial
N4S - Black Bezel Slate Dial
N2S - Black Bezel Champagne Dial

Other code for newer Sub:
N30 - Black Bezel Black Dial (116613GLN)
360 - Blue Bezel Blue Dial (116613GLB)

----------------------
GMT SERTI
R16713 (***) B78793
***
34S - Root Beer Bezel Slate Dial
32S - Root Beer Bezel Champagne Dial
N4S - Black Bezel Slate Dial
N2S - Black Bezel Champagne Dial

example:
R16713N2SB7879
is a GMT Champagne Serti dial with Black bezel and bracelet code B78790 (on warranty paper digits after the 4th will be omitted)
----------------------

During latest period of 2010 until 2012, the 3 blue sapphire marking on hours 6, 9 and 12 on Sub were change to lume marker and the diamonds size also become bigger following the maxi dial setting of 6 digits Sub.

Now enjoy the pictures from my drawer below :)

Should have started this watch hobby at least 10 years earlier.

A friend of mine has a blue bezel champagne serti sub. Every time I see it I find myself drooling.

Awesome collection you have there!!!

It is unfortunate that serti dial TT is still underrated among Rolexers.
But it also bring good things to fans as the price is still "affordable" if compared to other SS sport watches.

The dial and bezel color combination: blue, black, gold, brownish, slate, champagne; and the precious stone color like red ruby, blue sapphire and diamond..
... argh .. can't resist ..
