Watch care and maintenance
Hi all, new to the forum and am enjoying reading various topics and threads, I wondered what people do in terms of maintenance, care and cleaning. I own a Y.M and newly acquired a S.D which I LOVE! Playing around with the date/time/gmt settings on the S.D and wondered if there was a wrong way of doing it (i.e. should you move the bezel first then unscrew crown) and lastly where the S.D is new/special to me, I won't be wearing too often - does anyone recommend a watch winder or is it worth letting the mechanisms wind down?
Thanks in advance! |

make sure you clean the bracelet regularly. Gunk and grime can do serious damage and accelerate wear in the pins / links. I use an ultrasonic for best results

I would avoid the watch winder. You only have one complication to worry about and that’s the date, no big deal to reset it. There are tons of threads and discussions about the winders and it usually ends up 50/50 on those who like them and those who don’t. As far as the GMT feature on the sea dweller, there is non.
