I started this thread last year and It appears I didn't wait any too long to gift my father a beautiful Cellini Date blue dial on a Tobacco leather strap.

You're a good son and are lucky to still have your dad at 80 and in good health; congratulations to you both. Mine died at 67 from colon cancer in 1979 and I still miss him.
