Jubilee with hidden clasp

Best modern Rolex bracelet? I don’t know why Rolex replaced it with oyster clasp which takes away the elegance of the jubilee. Am I off base?

Made the hidden-claps exclusive to the DD - A value proposition in my eyes

Did they replace it? I thought the Super Jubilee (hidden clasp) was available in n some models (PM GMT probably) but not on others (standard DJ).

I love the hidden clasps. Makes the watch.

the only problem with this jubilee is you cannot adjust the size when your wrist swells. Harder to fit just right without an adjustment but a beautiful bracelet it is.

I agree that the hidden clasp looks much better.

Hidden clasp looks good, but Easylink is amazing.

I prefer the new clasp. Fit is more important than appearance.

Now days people want adjustability and an EZ link. Doesn't work with the hidden clasps.

I use to have a 116710ln with super Jubilee and now a Batgirl and I can tell you hands down the super Jubilee is so much more comfortable then jubilee with clasp. Just something about the links when adjusted provide a more comfortable seamless fit.

How much of my hard earned will Rolex deprive me of in the UK if I want to purchase a super jubilee?

I too wish they have kept it... at least offer it as an option.

Agree with most. Hidden is much nicer but clasp is more functional. I’d take function all day.

I’ve always loved the look of the hidden clasp both on the super jubilee and the president bracelets. That seamless look is beautiful.

the hidden clasp was the only reason I brought my dj36 two years ago before the new model.

BITD my first DD had a Jubilee with Oyster Clasp. Had it monogramed, really looked great.

Hidden clasp looks better. but having no adjustments is an issue, and the easylink is a big plus I think.

Rolex should find a way to allow simple clasp adjustment for the SuperJubilee.

But if it was a small fraction of the bracelets sold then that might have been a reason for skipping an obviously needed enhancement.

The ironic thing about the hidden clasp is that it truly is hidden. For the most part, nobody can see whether you have it or an oyster easylink on your bracelet.

We like it’s elegant lines, but it also comes with no adjustment, and the risk of being unclamped by a tug on the coronet in the wrong situation.

I like the hidden-clasp Jubilee and have no problem with the lack of adjustment.

I just wear it at a length that accommodates all scenarios.

Agree that it's a great clasp, and completes the look on my wife's 31 mm TT DJ. Also agree that the lack of adjustability is a problem for some. YMMV

I love the hidden clasp on my DJ36 (116234).

I have a 6" wrist - the hidden clasp works really well with it. The new clasp may look oversized and be off centre on a super small wrist like mine.

Another pro is that the jubilee links hide scratches really well. I suspect that the oyster clasp of the new jubilee will get scratched easily over time.

The only con was that it took several tries to size correctly. If you are "in between" links then you may need to get the 1.5 (1.75?) link from Rolex in order to get that perfect fit on the super jubilee.

Hidden clasp is beautiful. That massive buckle on the jubilee doesn’t look anywhere as good as on the hidden clasp. It actually looks off imo

My super jubilees are sized just a touch bigger than my oyster with easy link closed. I find they fit great even in summer with wrist swelling. I think it comes done to the suppleness of the small links.

The hidden clasps more elegant. The newer clasp adds the adjustable link, also balances the watch on the wrist due to increase in width.

Totally agree. The hidden clasp is like a made to measure suit. EZ-link is like turn ups on some off the peg pants.
