Building my collection

Added a NOMOS Orion 38 to my collection. A pure dress watch in-house movement. Getting closer to the Daytona C White dial! Moving up on the waitlist.

My AD has been pleased with my purchases this year, I am hopeful to get the Daytona before years end...fingers crossed!

The NOMOS wears so flat and simple on the wrist. Can’t wait to wear with suit. I really like the Cellini, but for me only wearing a suit every so often I can’t justify 15k on it.

Really nice collection.

What’s your plan from here?

My advice, once you get the DaytonaC, you have 4, and that’s enough. I would then upgrade on what you have. For instance Datejust to a DD, and Nomos to a JLC master control, Lange or Patek

Interesting question. Yes my thoughts at some point is to get the DD, without question. Right now the thought of trading in my blue datejust makes me nauseous! But I think at some point I will get used to the blue dial and might want to change it. Will always keep the sub, my first Rolex and a classic. I had the JLC master control. The problem is I hardly ever have a need for the dress watch, maybe once a week at the most, so I can’t see upgrading. Most likely will keep everything and get a DD, maybe yellow gold, to add to the collection. But that will be down the road, something to keep my interest and look forward to.

Great collection. I really enjoy my Orion 38. Try it with a few few different straps. You may be surprised how nicely a “Pure dress watch” dresses down.

Nice Nomos; German Bauhaus is simple and elegant.
