What year did these security measures on the card start. Think it's important to know since you don't want to inspect a card prior to the start date and wrongly think you have a fake card. |

I checked this at my Tudor card and it has the Tudor logos showing under UV light and the thin lines are printed Internationale Tudor Garantie |

Individuals should make sure their warranty actually matches the country its from (country code corresponding with the AD).
As well, different countries have different styles of displaying the warranty date. I'm guessing the OP is from UK and therefore the format of the date printed on the card is "dd/mm/yyyy". In Canada as an example the date format is "YYYY/MM/DD" and I believe that applies to the US as well. |

Checked the card for my Explorer 16570 from 2012, and it has the hologram that pops under UV light as well as the other details listed in the first post. Perhaps someone can chime in with information from an earlier card.

I for one am very happy the OP posted this thread. Very helpful information.
I also disagree with the concept of keeping this kind of information secret so as not to tip off the Fakers. By keeping it secret from Fakers you are keeping it secret from nonexpert Forum members who come here in search of this kind of knowledge. The best defense against Fakers is knowledge. Not knowing what to look for is the Fakers best friend. That's how we get duped. If they feel knowledge of certain details is little known among us buyers then there's no need to incorporate it into their forgeries. Even if they don't know about such security measures it's of no use if we don't know either. Two ignorances don't make a safer buying environment. The best thing is for Rolex like the US Treasury incorporates the highest security tech known to man and makes us aware of it. If it's sophisticated enough the Fakers/Forgers may find it too expensive or troublesome to obtain the technology to replicate those measures. Yes it's always better to buy the seller but it's also good to know what you're doing. For myself the more knowledge I have the better off I feel. Thanks to all here who provide the educational threads to those of us lacking but wanting such knowledge. The scammers today are too sophisticated to think that keeping something secret is really keeping something from them that they don't already know. We already saw videos of how the new Daytonas are being cloned inside and out and that it takes an informed expert eye to spot the tells. If the video did not point out the tells what good is the information that the Daytonas are being cloned almost perfectly. At least armed with the tells you have a fighting chance to avoid being duped. Even honest watch sellers can be duped and resell a fake unknowingly, my motto is don't trust anybody, trust your own eyes first. And the only way you can do that is by learning as much as you can about the watch you are interested in. That only happens when the experts on the forum unselfishly share their expertise that I can tell you without a doubt takes many many hours and years to obtain. That is why I became a Pledge member right away, one bit of information learned is worth thousands of times the Pledge membership dues. Not to mention the innumerable amount of hours it would take to learn everything on my own. Sorry for the long rant. |

Awesome post! Thank you for helping insure what we purchase is legitimate.
Curious if there is anything special with a Tudor warranty card and if so could you do the same on that warranty card to help everyone. Thanks |

Great information, thanks! I'm aware of the measures taken on the watches themselves but the warranty card features are new to me.

Warranty Card Authenticity Check
Quote:
There’s no hologram, but the 3 lines on the front are made up of the same ‘international guarantee’ type text - obviously ‘Rolex’ is replaced by Tudor. Will post a pic of mine later when back home Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
