Pen selection
I am trying to see if you guys can give me some guidance on these pens. I want to get two nice pens. A fountain pen and a Roller ball. I currently use a couple of Cross Ball points. So I am just getting into nicer pens.

Visconti pens have been having lots of QC problems for the last couple years. Goulet will do all they can to help you and even pre-test the pen for you. They are good folk. |

Any suggestions on a decent Fountain pen? Something under $200. |

Under 200 I would look at a Platinum (brand) or a TWSBI. Go for a nice non over a nice body in that range.

The Century #3776 is a great pen, a nice size and nice nibs. Other choices might be the Sailor 1911 family or Pro Gear family or the Pilot Custom or Custom Heritage.

I would go with a Cross Townsend Medalist. Well within budget and a good deal if it were twice the price

I just purchased a Platinum 3776 in the Lavendar and it is really nice. These remind me of the Omas Albas. Very pretty pens and the rose gold furniture is a good math. Also I have a few of the 3776s and they are all great writers.
Platinum is just good stuff.
