I finally did it

I've sent my GMT IIc back to RSC to get the hour hand hopefully adjusted. I have had the watch for 1 year and 5 months and I cannot stand the fact the hour hand is slightly off the indices when the minute hand is at 12. It had been back to RSC before who said there was nothing wrong with it but however they would send it off to Geneva to get assessed?? So I am taking up my option and request my watch going off to Geneva.
Some here might think that I am bonkers but to me horology is all about precision and if the hands don't point exactly where they should then it is not OK especially from Rolex.
I don't know how long it would take to get it back and I am thinking of wearing my Daytona, which has not been worn yet.

I'd do exactly what you're doing.

I honestly think that is somewhat reasonable if it really bothers you

I hope they get it fixed quickly.

This is a sad story -- You "have" to wear an unworn Daytona while you wait for the other watch to get back....

Just kidding --

It does sound like a reasonable request especially since what a rolex cost.

the RSC had to send the watch to Geneva? if they found nothing wrong with it then it's very good service from them to try and fix this for you

The head watchmaker examined the watch before and said it was not out but if I still had a concern he would send it back to Geneva for assessment and not for adjustment. I did not understand the reasoning of sending to Switzerland if they were to look at it and not to adjust it. My local AD has got a watchmaker recently and he too agrees that the hour hand is out of sync. I don't know why RSC is not addressing the issue; apparently according to my AD watchmaker it is simple to rectify, just remove the minute hand back by 2 minutes.

It's a shame it wasn't noticed somewhere along the line, before you got it.

I sent my TOG to RSC NY for general service, and right back again after a day,
because the rotating bezel was not "factory snug" as it first was.
Since RSC NY was the first ones to open the watch, to service it,
they should have the know-how to reinstall the bezel.

Sure enough, the second time the watch came back, right back, with the bezel feeling like it first did.

If someone wants to sell a watch that is made as perfectly as possible, there should be no qualm when an
owner insists the watch hands line up with perfect precision.

The new Glashütte [or Lange & Söhn?] uses splined hands for perfect minute/second alignment.
Whenever there is friction-fit hands, human error becomes more of an issue.
