Very nice watch! I dig the concepts. I was reading an article on ablogtowatch that mentioned the 6263 inspired model was around 22,000.00 USD

6240 Tropical

Love it...so much in fact I tried to buy one..maybe even this one if it was the one advertised on Chrono24 ? However the 20% import duty to the UK on top of purchase price put paid to that. If it was the C24 watch happy it's gone to a TRF member.

I am now working on finding one closer to home (London) with the darker aged sub dials.

I am sure you have seen the Youtube video but just in case you have not.... (I cant post kinks as too few posts so just search for "Parmegiani 6240 Tropical")

When Davide P says "impressive"...thats means it's impressive.

Many congrats. Beautiful watch.

Darren

Respectable price. Surely an holy grail subject for me.

Congrats! It's funny...I was just about to post questions about these Artisans De Geneve watches, especially the Daytona models, which I like.

I know these watches are listed as limited editions, but how do you guys see the future values on them?

Maybe I'm slow. Just went to their web site. I didn't realize the copper subdials were supposed to be pseudo-tropical aging. I'm not sure I like that so much after all.

But it's cool if you like it! We can't all go for the same thing.

How come they arent getting in trouble with Rolex? I dont think Rolex has licensed them to modify their watches, otherwise they would come with a Rolex warranty.

At some point, the 116500 grey market price may come close to the prices of Artisan’s SS Daytona customized LE watches.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what in the world is this? How is this any different than a fake Rolex?

You can read more about it here: https://www.artisansdegeneve.com/fr/...6240-tropical/

I found out about the company last year and when they released this watch I got late to buy one by just one day.

I’ve been trying to buy it since and a good friend of mine happens to know the CEO of Artisans de Geneve and managed to get me one from a collector plus a slot in the next one that they are producing.

I’m not sure but as of now all of them are being traded with a premium over retail.

Looks fantastic! I almost bought that one on chrono24 few months ago but I backed up last second because I wanted the tropical one.

$40k to $50k if you find one. There’s only 15 made.

I have no idea but my AD wouldn’t even size it for me

Go to their website for info regarding legalities and such of modding. All of these are extremely limited and based off a new 116520. They’re dials are stunning - my tribute 6263 is and while originally in 2016 they sold for $22k they’re probably worth about double retail right now.

Also, all of their recent models sold out within a day or so of being released to public - how’s that for value retention! Also, for whoever commented how these are different from fakes? They are a genuine Rolex watch with a Rolex movement only modified by the addition of their gold rotor and exhibition back and of course their custom dials! Much higher/better quality than Bamford.

Congrats!

Looks nice and with that presentation I assume not cheap. I find it hard to spend significant $ on aftermarket modded pieces but if you love it and keeping then it really doesn't matter. Now see the $45k price range answer....that's a tough one to swallow but again personal choice. I'd much rather have a legit big red or lesser vintage daytona personally. Being aftermarket, I don't really think it matters how many they made. There's very similar brand new one on Chrono asking the same price.

Any concerns given they are the only ones that can service it?
