Just got my GMT Master back. My conditions were: do not polish bracelet, do not polish case, keep original crystal, and just do the regular maintenance. My AD was in horror because the band and case are in VERY bad cosmetic shape. This was the first service since new in 1979..I Know...I Know..every five years. The crystal was replaced or RSC would not work on the watch. It was in bad shape. My reason for the conditions.....both me and the watch have been through a lot and I kind of like the bumps and bruises we have gotten over the years. If I want a new watch I will buy one. The watch is perfect in regards to function. Bezel now turns, hour hand finally lines up correctly, 24 hours hand now works in unison with 12 hour hand, within +1 second over the last 20 hours and I can actually see the date through the Cyclops. I am at work so I had to take the pictures myself. SORRY! Should have seen the face on my AD when she saw my smile. They did get the bracelet and case to shine; with all the bumps and bruises.

Can you tell that the edge of the bezel is almost smooth?

That's a beauty. Good call on keeping it "seasoned." Still looks great !
