Is there a difference in the Hulk through the years ?

I picked up my Hulk from an AD new in 2011.

I was wondering what year the HULK came out ?

AND....is or was there any difference through the years ?

Thanks

SUBMARINER text got bolder around 2017; that's the only change I can think of

It seems like the dial has undergone some minor adjustments over the years. The large vs small f in ft is one of them. Nothing major though, but these TRFers notice everything

Yes, minor dial text and spacing differences. IIRC, at least 3 distinct versions. There are a number of threads on the topic with photos.

Yes, there is the Mark 1 dial, mark 2 dial, mark 3 dial, mark 4 dial, mark 5 dial, mark 6 dial, mark 7 dial, mark 8 dial, and mark 9 dial. They skipped mark 10, and went then to mark 11, down until 19. No more variations after that.

I thought the dial may have gotten darker as well recently. I noticed a darker teal in certain light. I thought I was imagining it. Interesting others have noticed too.

Just bumping this to see if anyone else has thought the 2020 dial is a tad darker? Would Rolex really have changed the pigment/color?

Yes, the MK3 dial looks darker. Well before 2020, by the way.
But never was anyone able to answer me concretely.

For minor changes in the text (MKI, MKII, MKIII), it's known...

The few changes since yours that I haven't seen mentioned so far outside those already above:

-Moved to a polished inner clasp works
-Moved to laser etching Rolex name and other content on inner clasp
-Change of Rehaut from the engraved Rolex Rolex Rolex, to laser etched Rolex Rolex Rolex. Effect is a shinier rehaut

Just bumping this to help any owners.

Yesterday I had plenty of time to compare a 2015 Hulk with a late 2018 model under AD lighting and with a loupe.

The following differences were clearly apparent.

2015 had lower cyclops magnification.

2015 had more Emerald green dial with greater sunburst effect v 2018 having a hint of Teal shade in the dial and a fraction darker.

Big difference in rehaut finish 2015 engraved v 2018 laser etched, brighter and more superficial finish on the 2018.

300m, 2015 with the spacing 2018 no gap.

The difference was quite dramatic when the watches were placed side by side.

This. There are a number of variations, mainly around font and character spacing. They have been covered in great depth in a number of threads, if you can find them. Oh, and as mentioned, some bracelet changes and cyclops magnification.

What matters is Mk1 is not a thing now that will convince a collector to choose a 2015 over 2018, 2019, etc with same condition. We never know if that will ever happen.

There’s a very slight change in crown guard shape on early and later 116610’s, the later style having more angular pointed tips.

Given the choice I would take the earlier dial shade. In fact I did!

Originally released at Baselworld 2010, and yes a few very minor differences over the years mainly viewed through a powerful electro microscope, and tiny font details perhaps a micron or so different. Mainly now because dials and inserts are made in 3 different factories now all owned by Rolex, so there will always be minuscule differences over production years. The main changes the hype generated by the net, and of course the price differences generated by the hype. Once Rolex advertised the dial was green gold but it was soon removed from Rolex web site as its not solid gold. But the green dial its a aluminium disc they add powdered gold to dial to make colour change, its much like PVD coated, its not solid gold, so again could be slightly different colour hues batch to batch..

I saved this picture from a post a while ago, there're some minor changes throughout the years:
