Black Black/Pitch Black/Apollo 8

Hi all,

I'm looking for my first Omega and absolutely love the look (on the website at least) of the following SpeedMasters: Black Black , Pitch Black and Apollo 8.

Can anyone that owns any of these please share your real world experiences with them? Any wrist shots would also be great appreciated.

TIA

Don’t own any of them but I saw and handled the Apollo 8 in the flesh at a SoCal boutique. All I can say is the pics don’t do it justice. It is fabulous. I still regret not buying it when I had the chance.

The Apollo 8 is gorgeous. The yellow is a nice accent and the open dial is beautiful. The Black Black is very difficult to read because of the all black dial, we just got one for a client . The lume of the Pitch Black is very cool, but I still think the classic is the winner.

I couldnt help it....I just bought the apollo 8 as my first omega. I love the look, size, movement, colors, 50th anniversary, etc. Was hard to find. Being told that although not limited edition, it is definitely limited production with no one knowing if ads or obs will get anymore or not. Can't wait to recieve tomorrow to see in the flesh. Did the OP make a decision yet? They all look great. Pitch black was going to be my next choice.

I just picked up an Apollo 8! Love everything about it. Weight, size, scarcity, looks, like, etc. omega killed it on this one.

Honestly, I hope you picked up the Apollo. It’s fabulous. Size doesn’t wear like a 44, nice and thin, light and ultra comfy. Looks great too. I put mine on the black black cordura and it looks great.

They are becoming slightly easier to find and I’ve seen vintage speedmaster has one for a couple of hundred quid under list.

I’m on the list for the Apollo 11 also, but it will have to go some to beat this.
