Ap band base tool?

Are the Ap band base tool decent? Thinking of getting this with a Bergeron screwdriver to change my strap for my Offshore. Any feedback would help and be much appreciated!

I've got one, but am largely unimpressed. It's pretty much a balancing act to hold it and then use the other screwdriver to tighten. I tighten my ROO strap somewhat often & haven't used the AP band tool in several years.

Your mileage may vary and it's pretty inexpensive in the grand scheme of things, so it may be worth a shot.

What would recommend to change the strap? Do you use two screwdrivers instead?

Are you far from a boutique? I’m comfortable with changing straps on cheaper watches but i would recommend going to AP to swap bands to do it properly

The screw on my rubber strap looks bigger than the one on the buckle. Will 1.6mm screwdriver work for both screws?

Sorry was traveling, as others noted, I use the two screwdriver method. I forget which size, but I've got them.. lol

Whichever way you do, if you're worried about scratches on the case, you can use blue painters masking tape on the lugs to protect it if you slip up.
