1) 5711-1A blue - MSRP or less

I'm thinking it will be early 2021 that prices really soften, and from the secondary market especially. Right now, COVID-19 has not run it's course. So first, the first wave needs to pass. Then the secondary ripples of disease. Then viable treatment availability and hospital bed availability. Lastly, vaccines that work.

After all that happens, despite whatever governments do, the world is going to remain on "crippled" mode and luxury goods are going to be in low demand.

Confirms my valuation estimate. Mid $60s sounds like "wow it dropped that much" but it isn't "let me pull out my check book". Goes to show that it has a ways more to drop before it becomes a no-brainer "buy"

At mid 60's, it already arguably delivers more than any other manual wind chrono in that range, because of the iced dial, but "no brainer" really is a strong term.

I am wondering how many of those who'd buy a 5711/12 at MSRP today (or other stuff at the "right" price) will still be in the mood if prices indeed returned to MSRP (from 2-3x MSRP no less) after many months or a year or two of global misery. Some of the attraction may have evaporated, other issues may be more pressing, and some may then want to put all their funds towards other opportunities instead of ticking off a list of watches. Just saying...

Not sure I’m chasing anything unless some crazy values appear. Like so crazy I won’t even mention the prices.

Spot on. Price ideas will change, priorities will change, net worth will change.
Just curious if anyone has any thoughts on what will happen to the price of leveraged assets like real estate? How will developers of condos in large urban areas fare during this? What if you decide to move to the country and want to sell your apartment or townhouse, will you have any equity left?

The issue is that even if watches fall to these prices ; there is so many investment grade stuff to buy in the upcoming months that even real rich will feel poor

That is fantastic watch. But I feel it is overly expensive for such a small brand.

By the way, would love to see similar thread in AP section.

I think the watch market will take a long needed breather soon. No trades at those prices. Everything sorts itself out at some point then the action begins anew.

It is regrettable but I think many high-end independents will struggle in a slowing economy. Hard to buy an expensive watch that has poor resale value and no guarantee anyone will be around to service and supply parts in the future.
