Fuchsia bezel
Hi, picked up this rough fuchsia bezel.
Apart from obvious pitting etc. is it original ? |

Genuine fuchsia insert but it’s pity in poor condition as the color is nice. Still good looking one ...

How would an insert get that chewed up? Did the seller know how it was damaged in that way?

A word of caution. When inserts begin to chip and deteriorate like the OPs, they have a tendency to continue down that path. I had one on an old Sub that, it seemed like, every time I glanced at it, the chipping seemed worse! Thanks to Springer, I got a replacement, but by the time I removed the original one it looked terrible. .So..careful how you handle it!

The insert appears to probably be original but that chipped and deteriorated insert does nothing for the aesthetics of the watch. Looks like someone missed the round file at one time or other.
