Feels like attention that Tiffany dial Pateks don't really need. :(

But I applaud you for doing this. :)

On one hand I am really curious and appreciative for OP to set this up but then again what is Kelly likely to say? Buy 500k of watches/ jewelry we can't sell to anybody else and then we can talk?

Of course I am being a bit negative but I guess I am trying to understand the overall theme a bit better.
I see people asking about the 5740... unsure if that is meant serious or not but how many do they even get allocated? between 5-10 annually (at the most) maybe and you are competing literally with the people with the deepest pockets..

I appreciate you asking the question about the structure of our virtual chats. The duration of our chats are 1.5-2 hours. The way that they are structured is the first 20-30 minutes is designated to get a background on the industry expert that we have on the line. The remainder of the time is focused on Q and A which is determined by the collectors.

We started doing these chats after the COVID outbreak when collectors were no longer able to meetup in person. We have featured different experts across the community such as Wei Koh from Revolution, Eric Ku from 10pastten and Rudy Albers from Wempe USA.

It is by no means a route to get a Tiffany dial 5711 or 5740 as you stated above. This being said if you are looking to educate yourself more about the brands and develop a relationship with someone that is very knowledgeable in the field whilst interacting with other collectors than I see this as a great avenue to relax have a drink and hang out.

This is great - what a brilliant initiative. Are these on Zoom or something with a recording available anywhere. I’d love to join but it’ll be 1am in the UK! May still do so!

Kelly is my sales rep at Tiffany. She’s a great personality in the watch collecting world and just a ton of fun. Moreover, she’s very knowledgeable about the brand and the nuances between the references. She’s got a strong opinion about things, which I find very refreshing in the sometimes staid watch world.

got it - what is she so opinionated about ? the state of the watch world or in general ? maybe I'll ask her if PP really does care about flippers (and risk being blacklisted) or if she thinks it's all marketing BS:)

I always imagine a "Situation Room" in the PP HQ and if a watch pops up on Chrono24 that is being flipped Mr Stern calls the PP Navy Seals for a black-ops to take out the bad customer:)

I don't think that is the line of questioning that is intended...

Perhaps the questions should be submitted beforehand?

While we do have speakers where questions are submitted beforehand. I think we should be okay to have this one as democratic as possible and have collectors ask their questions live. Kelly is a collector like everyone else here on the forum and is a member of Red Bar in NYC.

If people want to know more about how the brands safeguard against flippers and how the brands look at it I don't see it as being an issue.

The only thing that I don't want which I will make clear on the chat are questions like...how do I get a 5711 or questions of that nature...as I don't see that as being productive for the group conversation

you know I was joking right ? I thought that was clear since I mentioned PP navy seals and a situation room with Mr Stern as the president :)

but like OP said asking it in a respectful manner how PP/ tiffany safeguard against flippers is an interesting discussion that is discussed here with great enthusiasm since it's at the core of everybody "watch problems".
