I could see me in that watch, but i would much prefer the coin to afford that watch! i would be counting the ice all the time to make sure i havent lost one!

Im not too into the jeweled watches, but i did see a nice TT sub the other day with 3 saphires in at the 12, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, i tdidnt think they were too bad, bout as far as i would go.

It is way to much bling for me (I don't even wear a watch!), but it sure stands out.

Thought the photo would round out this site nice, since there are so many watch photos here why not a little bit of ice.

Anyone know if this type of thing is offered by Rolex, from the factory or is this type of stuff always done aftermarket?

Jocke had posted a thread showing a lot of pictures of this watch just recently. He also stated that there were about ten of these watches ever made. I personally would never go for it, even if I did have the funds.

The only place I would want diamonds on a watch would be the hour markers and no more than that. This watch does not even have diamond hour markers!

I believe they were made by Rolex themselves - the GMT 'ICE'.

One was for sale recently in Stratford-upon-Avon and when I was in London, Harrods had one in their safe waiting for a (no doubt wealthy) buyer.

They retail for approx a cool £1/4 million, I think!

Whoa! I saw it earlier today on the main forum page. I would be afraid to wear that anywhere. I would need a few bodyguards on hand.

It would be better to do that to a sub; the 24-hour hand is completely useless with no numbers on the bezel. The watch cannot function in the way it was originally intended.
