149 -90th anniversary

Hello everyone!

Over the holidays I purchased my first MB fountain pen. I do have the classique and le grand RB. I decided to go for the 149 rose gold 90th anniversary and love the nib.

However I was looking online and noticed how beautiful the 75th anniversary was and disappointed a bit with how the 75th outshines the 90th. I really hope the 100th anniversary will outshine both of them :)

I am considering the 146 75th anniversary in the gold. Would love the LE RG version but hard to find and out of my price range.

What are your thoughts on the 146 and what is a fair price for a used and if lucky find a new one on the secondary market of course?

Huge difference between 146 vs 149? Does anyone recall what the 146 was priced back in 1999/2000?

Just gorgeous! My compliments!

There is a huge difference between the 146 and 149.

You need to determine which fits your hand.

I have 2 149s and 4 146s. Nuff said.

Whatever you determine to do............. regardless the numbers.......... you will enjoy the pen!

You have picked up one very fine fountain pen…use it in the best of health and enjoy!!!

I personally like the smaller FP's that MontBlanc manufacture…but each to their own as there is no right or wrong choice(s). Good luck in your hunt but I have no idea of what MontBlanc pens retailed for 15 years ago. I would suggest asking your questions on a Pen Forum as someone there may know!!!

Take care…..Leo
