I would love to own a classic Dutch windmill as a house, but they're bloody expensive. €1M+ for a restored one. And they're historical buildings so you can't modify anything, that means no split unit AC either

It all balances out. We are enjoying the unusually cool and comfortable season here, in the NE USA. 26 outside, with no humidity - it just doesn't get any better than this.

Yes would be a real positive for our space too. We get the sun all afternoon and have a metal roof directly adjacent which reflects the heat up.

Although the good news is we have a team bbq planned for midweek so perfect weather for that !

Then you can work a little extra and get a few days off when it is cooler.

We got thunderstorms brewing tonight, but then the African winds are rising here too, weather is suppose to be at crazy extremes this week.

I had been wondering how on earth we were still getting high 50 degrees and non-stop cold rain and flood here in the middle America, right at the summer solstice.

Now I know; your guys took all the sunshine from us!

Well, it took me years to convince my German friend to spend on AC.

Given their availability it is mostly in your hands - both your enjoyment and suffering.

I'm putting money aside to buy my first house. Once I have that I will get a good split unit for the bedroom. For now I will continue on suffering

You don’t have to spend a lot for some relief....

260 euros bought yesterday, and it chills the bedroom and even refreshes the rest of the apartment a little with the bedroom door open:

We're now forecasted for 43 C here Friday and Saturday. That's 109.4 F

It's not even July yet. I wouldn't be surprised if we hit 48 C / 118 F this summer.

You’re on the front line of the Sahara plume.

This year could be worse than the 2003 heat wave.

That is a typical Canadian prairie summer.

Cold in the winter and hotter than hell in the summer.

Currently enjoying this pleasant summer in London. I feel a little sorry for the locals however. My chipper attitude is driving them bonkers.

We reached 40C today, even a 5min walk outside is killing me. How does one even stay alive in Australia?

42.6 C (108.68 F) today in Paris..... all-time record!!!!

SMASHING the previous all-time of 40.4 C (104.72 F), which was recorded in 1947.
