First 16750 Full Set

Hey guys been looking for a few months for a full set 16750. Today I finally pulled the trigger and am pretty stoked about it. Here’s a little preview of Ralph’s old watch...

Regards,
Matt

That's a really nice-looking example. Congrats on a great find.

Thanks everyone, yea I like that it shows signs of previous enjoyment and hasn’t been polished. I plan on making it my daily driver, enjoying it, and dropping the Breitling. I will, on special occasion, wear my dad’s Rolex and papa’s Omega.

Whoa! That case! Beautiful example. Congrats!

Would you care to share the back story? Where'd you get it?

I don’t know. I was up in the air about getting a full set, because I plan on using it as it was intended and it obviously commands a premium. I guess I like having the background and it’s nice to have if I ever decide to sale it, which I don’t see doing. I’ve never sold a gun or a watch in the past, even though I rarely wear anything other than my daily and carry the same pistol I’ve carried for years. But, it was cool to google the previous owner.

The 16750 used to be my dream watch. This one's a really fine example; those who've hunted them down know just how difficult it is to find one in completely original condition.

Congratulations!

Sales ad? Where? I don't see a link in the thread.

I don’t know why you seem so hung up on that, I saw your previous post earlier saying “how distracting it is”, that you edited and deleted. The seller disclosed it to me, and offered to swap it out, but I was happy to actually have the original dial, small blemish, scratches, scuffs, and what not as, in my humble opinion, it shows the character of the watch. As I said, it’s gonna get used as it was intended and I hope Ralph, the prior owner, is looking down and is happy that’s the case.
