Congrats on your new Sub date as well as having both. The Sub has always been my choice as I've always preferred Sans date on mine. I would like to try the 12 on for myself before I get too excited. I do like both case shapes but just curious how I'd like the larger look of the dial with the slightly thinner bezel on the wrist. I'd say keep both if your torn as their different enough to justify having two but as you said that not being the case it seems keeping the new would make sense.. I'm waiting on my ADs call at least to see one. Enjoy!!...

I need a date. So the new one would stay. Plus, your dog sent it. They are both beauties.

Been trying to pick up one of the new Green Bezeled Subs. Since my GMT II was a gift, years ago, I don't have a current relationship with a Rolex AD like Longs up in Boston. (I am on Cape) When you have them both on the wrist, are the differences really noticeable at all?

I like the date, the cyclops is how I have always identified a Rolex from a distance.

Congrats on your new watch! Having been in the same predicament myself in the past, I sold my 114060... only to have it resurface years later as a “must-have” in my collection.

New sub date. Better movement, slimmer lugs, a new generation of the most classical dive watch family.

Congratulations OP

At least you were smart enough to buy one of each ... I did this, but I'm keeping both so I can't help you

Attempted with a tape measure ....~7.5” I think. At first I thought it was like 7” but then I realized because it was a metal tape measure it was squeezing my skin down a little but like a watch bracelet that’s tight bracket.

I also would say I have very flat top wrists so I’ve never had a problem with heigh of SD43 or DSSD but the Sub is still so much more flat and comfortable

Only those who don't accept the obvious improvement would recommend keeping the old one. Everyone else would dump it. And that's what is generally happening. Fat lugs are so 2006.
