Value proposition, Rolex is the way to go.....but in terms of beauty, finish, and superiority, ALS would be the choice

While I appreciate the exquisite hand finishing on the ALS, I don't think I would wear it as much. The gold Daytona is the piece I'd choose. It really feels like a million bucks on the wrist and thats what these pieces are all about - the way the make you feel when you wear them. You can also wear the Rolex in a more care free way. I feel i would have to baby the ALS. In the end, your money.

^ this.

If it’s an either or, as in this particular case, I’d vote for the green dial. That particular ALS does nothing for me.

Lange costs big bucks! However, very nice watch.

I don’t see what is common between these two. Why don’t you have a look at Cellini Moonphase? I would have chosen it over ALS.

Good to see on the Rolex main forum the Lange doing so well, we have a well rounded view here.

I guess I am a traditionalist as far as simple symmetrical dials appeal to me. Old habits die hard...

Given the poll is almost 50/50 and this is a Rolex Forum says a lot about this Lange. If the same question is posted on a Lange forum then it would be no where close. Not sure of the price of the Daytona but if you pick up this Lange pre-owned then it is a lot of watch for the money but still expensive.
