Advice on this Day Date as a present for my wife

All - I am looking to buy my wife a present for our upcoming wedding anniversary and I came across this watch browsing on the Rolex website:

https://www.rolex.com/watches/day-da...5rbr-0042.html

I hope that link works for everyone but basically its a 36mm Day Date in Rose Gold with diamond bezel and pave diamond dial and coloured gemstone hour markers. I am attaching a picture below just in case the link above doesn't work.

I kind of really like it and I think it will look good on her wrist. The really crazy thing is that when I enquired I was told the piece is really hard to get!!!!!!! I mean what the hell - these are really crazy crazy times or maybe its just regular AD exaggeration...

Regardless of availability, what are peoples views on it? Good, bad, warts n all - all advice appreciated.

All rainbow pieces are hard to get

They are made in limited quantities and might even be allocated

I’m not into the rainbow collection but I admit this one grabbed my attention big big time.
What a beautiful piece. I bet she’ll go crazy for it.

I would strongly suggest that you ask her if she wants it before you buy it.

You sure she wouldn't rather have an Aston Martin and a Range Rover?

I would personally prefer the rose with diamonds dial with this watch, the rainbow is a little too much for me.

Many Rolexes are much harder to obtain nowadays. I remember last year yellow DD40s/no diamonds were around $28k at grey prices, now they are at $36k. Crazy times.

That would be an amazing anniversary gift. It is difficult to get because Rolex doesn't produce very many. Some AD's may never see one

Does she have/like 36mm watches? My wife likes the 28mm size, anything larger is a no go for her. But your wife likes the larger size, that would be a fantastic present! And, I think the only Rainbow Rolex currently in production.

It would be a great gift. If you are unable to locate one, you might consider the Patek Philippe 7140R-001.
