Bernard has a 1016 for sale...

Looks like the hands have been replaced?

Yup they are too short. Minute and second hand on the 1016 are 1mm longer. RSC and other service units often replaced them wrongfully during service over the years.

Doubt RSC did that hatchet job. Looks awful. Way over priced.

I'm certainly no expert on vintage pieces, but after hanging around here for awhile, I am learning. I don't even own vintages watches anymore, but jeez, this was glaring.

Regardless, a bit disappointed in Bernard for not pointing this out. I've purchased a few watches from them over the years, and would still do so. Purchased a NIB full kit Tudor BB from them a few years ago with no issue...some poor dumb dumb is going to get hosed on this one though.

More importantly is that a 1.5m watch should have a gilt dial. Not a matte frogfoot one imho.

Bob's has one for less and their description is honest at least.

still think the Bernards one is worth more. Dials trashed on that one. both are slightly overpriced though imo
