What's the Omega AD Average discount for Speedmaster Moonphase?
Hi all, I'm interested in getting a new Omega Speedmaster Chronometer Moonphase Chronograph 44.25mm, stainless steel with Blue ceramic dial, Blue leather strap.
Reference # 304.33.44.52.03.001 What is the typical discount you would expect from a AD for this piece? The lowest Gray prices I have seen is at AuthenticWatches.com & jomashop at ~$6.9K. Alan Furman, another grey dealer with a physical store (unlike the other two online greys) sells it for $7.8K. I'm curious what is the premium ADs sell it for after factoring in a discount. I went into an Omega Boutique and the Sales Manager quoted me only 10% discount. I thought that was not a great deal considering Rolex offers 10% to 15% at ADs on some of their watches and Rolex is the current hot item right now. So, am I right to feel that 10% was too low and should I expect something around 20% to 25% discount from an AD since online greys are selling at 36% discount? |

I think 10 percent is max at AD. Rolex don't offer discount anymore, at least not in any of AD near me

10% off at an OB is good as it is hard to get discounts at the boutiques. You should be able to get a better discount at an AD.

Contact a Trusted Seller, I have used DavidSW for my Omega purchases from an AD. He will get you a price quote. I would assume that you could do 20% off retail on a new and complete set. I would also check Chrono24 and look and see who is advertising this watch and make a few phone calls and see what they tell you. If the watch can be found slightly preowned and complete with box, papers and warranty you should be able to save 35-40% off retail. That is how I would go.

Buy a preowned or like new preowned from trusted seller. You will not get omega warranty with grey like alan furman or joma.

I'd been wondering this too.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but seeing the prices going up for the Moonwatch (they were 10-15% cheaper through most trusted sellers on here within the last 12-months) made me finally pull the trigger on a pre-owned one just last week. The Rolex effect? I dunno, but a bummer nonetheless. Good luck OP! |

Depending upon the competition in your area will dictate discount. I’m in the nyc metro area and can get 20% + off from local AD.
