In case the blatant ripoff designs aren't enough to make you stay away from Invicta, this link likely will.

UNFORTUNATLY for one consumer, the sad truth was revealed by a local jeweler where he took his wife’s newly acquired timepiece to replace a diamond that had fallen out, only to find out that the ‘diamonds’ are actually crystals!

If it was supposed to have real diamonds it came with a diamond certificate. He can send it back to invicta for a replacement or his money back if they were said to be genuine by them. I have had several of their watches and have gave many of them as gifts without any problems. For the price point they are just fine.

I've owned a 9211 speedway and pro-diver and they were both great. Invictas are great values

That Invicta is nice, but it is not even remotely the same as the rolex you are comparing it to. The Invicta is a copy of the previous submariner model, and a nice one at that. I had two of them. But the new sub you pictured is very different.

All the models below look roughly equiv to the sub ss: (2010 prices)

3044 545msrp
8932 275msrp
8962 275msrp
9307 275msrp
9937 1295msrp

What are the major differences?

Wow this forum is dangerous! Came very close to pulling the trigger on a 9937 yesterday after digging around for ages. Figured it would be handy to see how I like that style of watch in the real world, as well as being a cheap watch to play about with the movement of.
I've come to my senses for now and their lack of availability in the UK has put me off for now.
I wouldn't want to faf with warranty returns to the states, and the 8926 on amazon.co.uk is the scalop edged bezel which I'm not keen on.

Looks like they are on eBay for £180 delivered, can't tell if they have the updated -2 movement though.

I acutualy own a Subaqua Noma IV with the val.7750 rose tone love it. But own several high end watches (just picked up a pam 311). get more complimants on the Invicta , and i think because it takes a real watch person to tell the diference on high end watches and why.vs Invictas have eye appeal which most people can relate to.

In principle I'm glad there is a relatively inexpensive brand spreading mechanical-watch love to those who can't afford a Rolex. But, the way Invicta blatantly rips off the Rolex design turns me off.

I find the brand and their homage watches tacky. Watches and their brand perception goes hand in hand. For inexpensive, good looking and reliable mechanical watches I prefer Orient, they don't try to imitate other brand's design and have their own inhouse Japanese movement. I have two Orient watches.
