The modernist design was to imbody Bauhaus simplicity. The Patek Philippe 3796 is the 1980s reincarnation of the classic Ref. 96 Calatrava and remained in production until 1999. This reference was created to represent the original Ref. 96 as close as possible, retaining the classic 31 mm case size as well as the tapered lugs of the original. The updated Cal. 215 movement beats at 28,800 A/h and features the Patek Phillipe Gyromax balance.
