and how do you remove the scratches? are you using any different way?

For the TT, 000 steel wool...it doesnt affect the SS, but brushed over the gold lightly, gives it a lightly brushed appearance that compliments the brushed stainless and renders scratches almost invisible.

I like the look better than the highly polished links which are scratch, ding, and fingerprint magnets.

I wear the TT sub daily and if I had highly polished links that I obsessed over, I would go nuts.

Let me say though, Cape Cod clothes are an excellent product, but they do remove material so constant use will eventually thin the centers of the gold links.

I bought a Gold polishing cloth at Wal-Mart the other day.....works like a charm.

I think I am just going to have to get used to the scratches on the SS GMT II. They are multiplying by the day but I didnt buy the watch to stick in the box!

Surface scratches on the polished centre links are by some considered to be a desirable patina. Anyway....it is almost impossible to prevent ANY watch getting scratched, so I would just live with it if I were you. It is better to leave the scratches alone than polishing and polishing your watch until there is almost no watch left.

I want to buy the new gmt master II and i want to ask you about the scratches? Should i buy a watch with brushed band or should i buy the new ss gmt. The ss gmt is a stunning watch but the scratch me links hold me back somehow? What do you think? I am asking you cause you are own one.

Frostie, micro scratches will happen on any watch, I wouldn't give it a second thought. It isn't as if the high polish will look dull at all. Most TT watches have polished center links and those do just fine. I would have no hesitation in getting the GMT-II in light of the polished centre links.
