Had a wonderful dinner out last nite, after taking in a movie....
A local Eastern European restaurant...kinda off the beaten track...
But what a great meal...!!
A wonderful 'Karadjordjeva Schnitzel -pork loin‏ schnitzel stuffed with kaymak cheese , breaded and fried, served with hashbrowns and coleslaw..
and a Chicken Schnitzel, tender cutlet breaded and served with fries and coleslaw.. - with homemade bread.. Everything was Home made ..and damn good. Nice Serbian Red to go along with it..!
A small, cozy place.. family owned and operated for years it appears, as many patrons seem to be 'regulars' ...
A great place..

Lovely; brings back fond memories. Karadjordjeva schnitzel used to be known as "Every girl's dream" where I lived

Haven’t posted much here lately, lots of this type of food. Wife is on a stir fry kick so I am making her this frequently.
Did pick up some prime rib eyes at Costco for the weekend
This is tasty though.

Arghhhhhh! My 5 year-old just had a tonsillectomy and is on a liquid and soft (mush) food diet for 2 weeks. As a show of support, my wife and I are on the same diet with him. Just the pics in this thread are making me salivate.

Looks tasty! My wife use to make a coffee rub with ancho chilies in it too that I loved on steak. I need to get her to make some more.

Paper plate or not, that looks like a perfect mid-rare on the cook.
