Explorer 1 has landed!

I've been on the hunt for an Explorer I in excellent condition with Box and Papers for a while now. I was anxiously watching the prices rise slowly, and thinking I won't find the deal I'm looking for any time soon. Then I was browsing the classifieds and found exactly what I was looking for, a FULL SET Explorer I in gorgeous condition. I pulled the trigger immediately. (Even came with the original hangtags)

I would like to give a huge shoutout to Takuya. This was my first transaction with him, and I could not be more pleased. The watch and all the accessories where well packaged when they arrived, the watch was in the exact (beautiful) condition as in the pictures. Furthermore he was a pleasure to communicate with and answered all my emails in an extremely timely fashion. I will not hesitate to do businesses with this great seller again, and can wholeheartedly recommend him.

Now to a wrist shot, as no incoming is complete without it!

Best, Luka

P.S: How can I upload High Quality pictures? id did not let me post a large file!

I'm trying to upload higher quality pictures, do you know how that works? Managing attachments limits me to really small ones...

I've had the same problem starting a few months ago. You might try to upload to an image service like Flickr and embed the image link. Good luck.

Thanks guys! I am really enjoying it so far! I think I might have found the perfect watch for me. It's an amazing size, and fits me so well. Looks like the others will be in the box for as long as this honey moon period will last.

I'll try embedding some pictures later on, hope that works out.

Great choice Luka! Wear it in good health. The perfect watch for all occasions. Takuya is a total pro. I've never heard anyone have anything less than a perfect transaction with him.

Thank you, I strongly agree with you that this watch won't look out of place in any occasion I'll possibly find myself.

When I first joined this forum I really didn’t like the Explorer, it was just too plain for me. A few years later I own it and love it for everything I used to dislike about it.

Thank you all for the wishes! I also hope to wear it in good health for a long time. Someone said when they joined the forum they thought the Explorer I was boring / plain. I agree - that was my perception of it at first as well.

However, its actually a super interesting piece. The applied markers really stand out on the black dial, and the white gold numerals make it quite unique, especially when compared to my Datejust (without applied markers) and the GMT (without any arabic numbers)

Keep your high-res photos on a photo-hosting web site, and then use code in your TRF posts to display the images in your TRF post without actually uploading the photos to TRF.

Glad to hear of your new Explorer. I wore one for a short while before trading it for a different watch, and I enjoyed it quite a lot. It'll make a nice stablemate to your Speedmaster Pro, for certain!
