Lots of differing opinions, can anyone confirm 100% whether it is discontinued or not please?

AD’s can no longer order it so it appears it is discontinued. That much I can confirm.

Yep. I tried to order one more for the store and was told it was unavailable.

This is my guess. I think we’ll see new movements and cases across the line, and Pepsi stays in WG, just with some updates.

This could indicate that the GMT II will be redesigned (a movement change at the very least), probably beginning with the precious metal versions.

Well with most AD's having a couple in their stocks and not having those many people searching for them... I thought that it would be easy, enough, for those searching it to find it no?

I just read through the whole thread. This is a really interesting and well thought through discussion. Makes me really excited for Basel. As always, I just bought a watch right before Basel, so if I will be getting anything, something in the collection will have to make space.

Let's see what this year brings!

Like some celebrities, Rolex might leak fake news to some dealers and monitor to see if that fake news was revealed publicly... so they can know who to trust with truly private information. The source who said that might have his name on a blacklist of private info now.

You mean like all the dealers that said they can't order the watch any longer?

Actually, I think he meant the dealers who had to cancel orders and refund deposits.

My prediction, Rolex will introduce the Pepsi in Platinum and a coke bezel in WG for 2018.

Isn’t it a bad idea to launch a more expensive Pt version when the old WG versions are still laying around? If anything, a new Pt Coke and redesigned WG Pepsi makes sense.

I’ve got a BLRO on its way to me. I missed it a lot and I’ll be back in the club in a few days. Thanks for all your enabling photos! Regardless of what’s next, this is the PM for me.

I've been sure since the 7th of Feb! and my source has no info on any GMT's or any other Basel rumors. We texted today and he said he hasn't heard a thing other than they will be getting a traveling Basel world road show of the 18 "new" watches with no movements in early June to display for their customers. Much like the traveling Basel models that went to select dealers around the US last year. And yes, the number he was told is 18. Let the speculation and games begin. 18 what?????? New models? I'm guessing some new dial variations for Datejusts etc. As for the GMT coke or whatever else, who knows. My money is on a new sub case with tapered lugs ala SD43 with the new movement and/or a new GMT. Maxi case is on its way out is my guess. If not this year, then next year or the next....

Thanks for the update. I don't doubt a number of the 18 will be variations on existing models, i.e., metal grades, dial colors/styles, etc. Full-blown redesigns will probably be a small percentage of that number. The bigger question is whether the 32xx movement will make its way into existing sports models, or if Rolex will redesign every model to feature the new movement. My money is on the latter, but there is precedent for either scenario.

I think it's too soon for a new Sub. The current super-case Sub design is only ten years old, and the SS Sub Date is only eight years old. A new GMT makes more sense, given its age (13 years) and the fact the BLRO has been discontinued.

I don't see it happening, given Rolex's commitment to ceramic. But if they were to go back to that look, they would probably use a sapphire overlay, like Blancpain does with the Fifty Fathoms.

I think it would be awesome, but I would be astonished if it happened. I think the SD43 affirms Rolex's intent to keep using ceramic inserts on its sports models for the foreseeable future.

I agree with you it's too early for a new Sub but do feel its coming shortly. A new GMT definitely makes more sense, whether a coke or just an updated movement/case. Hard to tell with Rolex as they definitely keep us guessing. The 18 is metal grades and dials/color variations for sure with perhaps 1or 2 full blown new model or variation thereof

One thing for sure, I am excited for Basel world
