Got this today!

And this was the attachment.

I’m not bothered as I just want the watch. The stickers etc don’t really bother me. But I know some of you guys they are really important.

And discuss!

This is unacceptable to me. If you purchase a product, you should be entitled to receive everything that goes along with it, including stickers and warranty card!!!

What the hell, would they be ok with you retaining partial payment for 12 months?

I would never agree to leave without the warranty card. I don't have much of an issue with any of the rest.

Stickers I could live with, warranty card, I'd tell them to go F**K themselves. If this is driven by Rolex itself then I really need to reconsider the brand. You own the card, and quite frankly, once you own the watch, it is yours to do with as you please.

Agree if this does not bother you.
I would add the card to be courier to owner after 12 months have elapsed at no additional cost, save another trip.

Are there really THAT many flippers out there that the AD feels the need to to crack down with such ridiculous measures? Is the AD going to get into hot water if the piece they just sold ends up on the grey market? Shouldn’t they only be worried about making the sale and not what happens after that? If I spend thousands on a watch I expect to be able to do with it as I please.

I'd expect to keep a good chunk of money as a retention of them keeping it. What if they go bust in that 12 months you wouldn't get your warranty card back.

Ridiculous, I wouldn’t buy a single watch from this AD. Hope they lose customers till they realize that they are literally in the customer service industry and act as such.

Well, you have to give it to them, this is an excellent way of helping to rid of the grey market

It all sounds fine to me yet keep a copy signed by the store owner that they're keeping the card and have them photocopy the card for you. Rolex gives you a new card when you send it in the service so I feel some people are really overreacting about the card since a photocopy and dealer verification should be fine. Another option is to have Rolex send the card 90 days after purchase to the address of the person who purchased the watch from the authorized dealer.

I think that’s BS, but it wouldn’t stop me from a purchase because I don’t flip anything.

Why should you worry about a physical warranty card? Rolex know who owns the watch.

So, it comes down to flippers feeding the gray market.

If this stops the flippers and lets a real MSRP buyer in the door, then I’m for it.

Before the Rolex bull market and or shortage, I didn’t need the gray market to get 30-35% off. I just asked for it and got it.

Sorry, as a buy and wear guy, I would have no problem if my local ADs imposed such requirements to purchase from them. Hopefully it would cut down on the wait times to obtain a watch from them.
