Black Bay 79220N (ETA, rose) ....almost impossible to find

only 5 months in production, some say less than 3000 made, most of the times can't find them ob Ebay and Chrono24.

Anyway, it's a gorgeous piece and I'm glad I found it

YES !
NOS :-)
Don't ask me where and how :-) , it was part of the hunt

that's me

I said 'almost' impossible to find. Untill I got in contact with XXX
Took an option on every piece I could get my hands on

Of course I'm NOT keeping these for myself, I have a lot of friends who also collect watches and I contacted most of them.
It's a large group, some of us know each other since decades, others just joined. We always visit Basel, SIHH, ...
I made a lot of people very happy :-)
That's was probably more fun than finding one for myself
None of them are flippers so I'm sure they will treasure these watches , wouldn't have offered them to flippers

I own one and readily see them for sale across many forums every single week.
Production I thought was for 9 months but given the number that can be found for sale, they must have churned out 300,000 of them

I have both versions, ETA and in-house, and I’m not seeing a shortage at all. They’re readily available. I’d love to think they’ll be worth a fortune in coming months but I remain somewhat skeptical of the predictions on this forum.

I have never done this. Have to give it a try.

Got my Pelagos box out the other day and saw the rubber in there and thought about how to use it.

Great pics OP!!

I think any of the ETA powered Tudor pieces will eventually be sought after as they switch all of the pieces over to in house. I know the others (other B.B. and Pelagos and eventually THC and Ranger) had much longer production runs. But the 2 line Pelagos and Ranger are just cool watches that will have long term appeal to the masses and collectors.

I think there is an extension piece if I remember correctly. Ignore that piece. Bracelet endlinks, titanium tang, and done

The recent postings on my watch mart are all selling above MSRP (one is listed at $4,300!). I think the OP was trying to find them at MSRP. The rest of the listings on that site are from 2017 and I doubt would still be available at the prices that were advertised.

Also, a few months of production in the Rolex/Tudor world is a drop in the bucket and an anomaly for the brand.

300,000 in nine months means roughly 1,100 per day, every day, for 9 months. Tough one.

Asking/list price certainly isn’t a reliable indicator of actual sale price.

Agreed. They’re still not selling for MSRP or less
