Icon3 Trade Ceramic Daytona and BLNR for Lange?

I was offered an used Lange 1 Timezone WG: for my Daytona Ceramic + BLNR + Speedy + my $3000.
Would you do it?

Bought all 3 brand new from AD, the BLNR is only 2 months old. The Speedy is the most recent sapphire sandwich with the briefcase goodies.

Just want to downsize the collection and always wanted a Lange 1, but unsure if this is a good move.

Your current 3 watches are all sports watches and the Lange 1 timezone is a dress watch.

It is a major trade, but if it is your dream watch and it'll make you happy, then why not?

a straight trade would be something to consider but i if you are having put $3k on top then you may be overpaying

the ALS is lovely and would be a good way to consolidate

I'd definitely keep the three. Considering own preferences. But it's ultimately up to what you prefer and perceived value.

Never. I only like the Zeitwork luminous from Lange though. IMO you would be trading 3 amazing watches that represent a lot of history (Daytona, Rolex GMT, and a speedmaster) for the Lange. Not sure I could live with that.

Rarely do I say "never" but I would never do that.

Lange is great but not worth the proposed sacrifice.

I really like the Lange 1 timezone, my AD has this model in at the moment and I've tried it on a few times. The trouble is that Lange by all accounts isn't a safe place to put your money if you ever want to cash out yet Rolex is.

The watch is very very nice but the 3 you also have are individually many people's grail watches.

I'd keep the watches you have and look to add the Lange by finding a used one. Just my opinion.

Lange 1 Timezone is a stunning watch. I like it a lot but never obtained one due to poor value retention. Even you get a pre-owned Lange you will still get a hit if you try to move it and will have problems moving it. You will not have any problems moving the Daytona, BLNR or the speedy. I would keep the 3 watches you have.

It is a beautiful watch, very different from your current collection. If your asking to trade all three, and you're only left with the Lange.....I wouldn't.
If left with another sport model/Rolex....possibly.
Only way I'd consolidate those three to one, is if it were to a PM rolex on bracelet. (More versatile)

I wouldn't and I have no idea of whether the proposed transaction is in line with current values or not. You would be letting go of three gold standards for Swiss watches IMO: The Rolex Daytona, the Rolex GMT2C, and an Omega Speedy which is a great, diverse collection of amazing watches.

I fear that the novelty/prestige of the ALS would wear off and you might have buyer's remorse. Also for me personally, leather strap as your only watch would be extremely challenging as I wear my Daytona literally everywhere, and during the summer times especially my wrist is sweating.

Want to downsize? Get a Smurf or BLRO or keep daytona and add a Reverso as a dress watch or ultimately Sell all for a 5711.

I wouldn't do the lange trade

No way I'd do that trade...you've got 3 very classic pieces that you could wear in a variety of situations and they are all incredible. Doesn't seem like a fair shake to me.

At least keep that hot Daytona. I wouldn't even trade that for the Lange and the Lange is worth more.

I wouldn't either. Your collection is pretty versatile now. With only the Lange, it would not be imho
