BLNR Madness

Just noticed this listing on Chrono24 and thought it may be of some interest...
https://www.chrono24.com/en/rolex/gm...US&SETCURR=EUR

I don't have much German but the listing appears to say "New is this 126710BLNR featured at Basel World this week. New". Someone who can speak German may provide a better translation but clearly the seller (who is a trusted seller since 2016) is trying to pass this off as being the newest release BLNR. I'm assuming the jubilee is simply taken from a different watch. Under "Year" it clearly states 06-2017 so obviously this doesn't line up with it being featured at BW this week. As well as this, under "Caliber" the movement is listed as "Automatic" and doesn't mention the new 3285 movement anywhere.

All of this being advertised for €17,950. So clearly the seller trying to pull the wool over the eyes of an uneducated buyer. There's at least one other listing suggesting a new BW release BLNR.

I guess there'll always be people trying to make a quick buck but this is just someone taking major advantage.

Exactly... There's many tell tail signs about this listing... But my point being that to the uneducated buyer who just wants to have the latest and greatest thing...

Obviously they are trying to ride the Baselworld hype, but the listing pretty clearly indicates that it is a 116710BLNR. The title of the listing says that it is a "Rolex GMT Master like Basel World Batman Ceramic Jubilee." The language concerning the "126710BLNR" appears to merely reference that that watch exists and that this watch is similar to that watch (because it is a 116710BLNR on a jubilee).

If the seller were really trying to pretend it was a 126710BLNR, they are doing a poor job of it (e.g., picture of warranty card that says "116710BLNR," listing the model number as "116710BLNR," saying in the description that "we present you an unworn ... 116710BLNR," listing the origination date as June 2017, etc).

Remember folks, there are two jubilee bracelets!

1. The jubilee with concealed clasp that the Datejusts came with.
2. The new BLRO/BLNR jubilee with Oysterclasp and easy link!

Besides no one has a 2019 jubilee BLNR right now. Not even Roger Federer!

DJ36's have also started coming on a bracelet with a full clasp, so it's a little harder to tell the difference now.

Yes, but these new 126234 Datejusts are still not on the market.

Also remember that the new Batman has the coronet between Swiss Made. There is no way around this.

I’m confused. SS DJ41 eg 126300 come with an Oysterclasp easy link Jubilee don’t they?

Which DJs come with a super jubilee, the PMs?

The ad says it’s an 116710 from 2017 in the details.

You’re right. I forgot about the DJ41. Super jubilee is steel Datejust 36 116234. But I doubt the DJ41 jubilee fits the GMT. The DJ41 is a bigger watch and I’m sure the bracelet must be a mm or 2 wider.

But the DJ41 bracelet does not have the flip lock so again the only correct jubilee is the one sold with the steel BLRO.

The DJ36 has the SJ. The DJ41 is actually 21mm so will not fit a GMT, Sub or DayC.

Yes they are. Was just at an AD today looking at DJ36 for my wife and they had the new reference with the clasp instead of the SJ bracelet. Didn’t buy as my wife wants Pink and that one is the previous reference.

The only BLNR madness is the number of new threads popping talking about the BLNR.

Are you 100% sure? I have no idea how they have the new reference just days after Baselworld when most of the new releases arrive in the summer.

The 126233 two tone DJ36 does have the new clasp because it came out last year. I don’t see how they could already have the new steel DJ36.

100% sure and only because I rather have the SJ and these did not have it. He even took the catalog out and showed us the dial options available and they were all 2019 options.

I read it and the seller is stating that it corresponds to (German: entspricht) the latest release, not that it IS the latest version. Still not nice at all.

I was of the understanding that from Baselworld 2018 all 36mm DJ Jubilee bracelets now have external clasps. The Super Jubilee with the hidden clasps have been discontinued.

The end links are not like the current SS GMT Master II (BLRO or BLNR)
