Being critical of the Rolex SkyDweller

I’ve not been a fan of the SkyDweller in precious metal or it’s recent stainless steel form. To me the off-centre second timezone hour wheel looks peculiar. The watch also wears big on my 7 inch wrist.

I must give it credit though on the design of the complication; it’s original and quite ingenious.

Do you think Rolex will ever amend this movement to relocate the off-centred second timezone hour wheel to satisfy the OCD among us? Wishful thinking...

Here's my 2 cents: Rolex masterfully simulate the extreme high demand of this Sky Dweller by releasing 1-2 pieces to each AD a year, the research and tooling cost is always high...So good luck in getting to get Rolex redesign and retooling for such small quantity production watch.

Seriously, I doubt too many even have seen this SS Sky Dweller watch in real life.

I think it's a wonderful watch. To be on my radar all it needs is a glidelock clasp.

There is not a single watch like this, a reason enough to buy if you like the idea. Wrist size is a different matter.

One man's trash is another man's treasure. Personally I treasure it and love the look. It's incredibly easy to use, easy to read, and all bussiness. Of course beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I loved mine but it was just to big on my wrist. I couldn’t pull it off

Agreed. If it wasn’t for the huge size, it would definitely be number one on my list

My wrist is under 7 inches and I have no problem with the sky.

Its 50 mm lug to lug and 14 mm thick. Not exactly huge even on a 6.5 inch wrist....

I like my SkyD, especially the fact that the second time wheel is off center.

That's enormous for a watch in the same style family as a Datejust. I have several big, sporty chronographs that aren't that large.

I can see how it isn’t for everyone but I love everything about it. My favorite is the WG on bracelet with the Roman numerals. But the SS models are fantastic also.
Part of what I love about it is the below-center GMT sub-dial. My preference would be for it to remain unchanged
