New Watch Alert!
Hi Guys, Want to share my new watch, bought preowned,
Although a lot of scratches, at least its still unpolished. Really love the dial on this one, whats your opinion guys, Should I just wear it as it is, or bring to Patek to have it serviced, And have a brand new feeling and start my own journey with the watch. Also, since I bought this watch from Grey Dealer, if you notice anything suspicious do let me know versi1.jpg versi2.jpg versi3.jpg |

Congratulations! It’s a great watch! For me, I will always send it back to Patek for a clean and service when it’s a pre-owned watch. Just to make sure it’s genuine. After that just wear it.
Didn’t you have a 5711G as well? |

Congrats, I would wear that for a few months and then get it sent off for a polish, not sure how fast the turnaround would be, esp in these Covid times, so I'd enjoy the watch for a while first knowing the scratches will soon be gone.

Congratulations Eric! The watch is amazing on you and i think the condition looks good overall!!
Since international travel is too challenging, I would advise u to just wear it till you can come to Singapore for a service. Was this watch a full set? Which year? |

Congratulations, I love mine. If it were me, I would wait until it needs service before sending it in. It might be kind of cathartic to wear your watch with the scratches and not have to stress if you receive more..

beautiful watch
i agree with the suggestion to send to to PP service. but i don't support polishing the watch especially if it has never been polished

I wouldn’t service unless any particular issues. Would definitely not polish, it looks fine, These bezels never looks so good once the thick edges are gone.

Noted guys, will think twice before polishing it,
As a lot of the people here seems to agree that polishing is a big no no here it is with its brother 5711g Very similar color dial, but slightly different e7a19831-ff0a-4bfa-bcb2-ea2917222f74.jpg |

I would wear it for a while . In a couple years when it gets really scratched up -which it will - ha! Then send it in for service including polishing ( by Patek only!) Not sure why people keep saying don’t polish? Maybe my old eyes aren’t discerning enough. All I can tell you is I have had several pieces polished by manufacturer ( including a Royal Oak by AP) and have been delighted by the results. Looks brand new to me. Just MO . james in San Antonio Tx

Nice piece, congrats! Agree with wearing it for a while before making a decision on having it refinished.

Congrats! I wouldn't polish but I'd just buy a new bezel as it looks like all the scratches are on the part that can be swapped out.

Pretty sure that is real, even from the front only, and the fakes are usually in much better condition than that!
