I use wooden toothpick, wooden skewer or more recently the wooden piece they provide for cleaning nails in the spa.
I find wood a safer option against precious metals.
But do use the quick set pushers as they are there for a reason (rather than trying to advance with the crown only)

I use a toothpick also.
To be blunt, if you can't change it with a toothpick without ruining the watch by jamming a bit of wood into the pusher then you shouldn't touch it at all, take it to a dealer.

While wholly unsolicited, I feel the need to throw out there that I find the moon phase to be the least interesting or useful complication that exists. You typically have to get it if you want an annual calendar and it is the only thing I would love to change about my 5712. It just takes up space. I wont avoid a watch because it has one, but I would never seek it out. There, off my chest.
