New seller, no reviews and nervous!

My friend is looking at this watch. I tell her all the time buy the seller not the watch. This on C24. But, no reviews and though listed as a dealer in Chicago, (Watch Supply LLC) a google search turns up nothing. PLUS their phone number is in MO. Any thoughts on this on? Doesn't smell right.

It starts and stops right there.

The watch doesn’t raise any red flags in those pictures.

Of course, they are just pictures of a watch that the seller may not have…
..or should not have…(e.g. stolen)
..or has sold 3x over…

I wonder if your friend has looked for a Lady DJ on the TRF Boutique Lane?

That’s the best advice if she is going for a preowned one.

It's an easy walk away. Not a rare or hard to find watch. Better sellers out there. Find one.

I would call the number and have them FaceTime you the watch and address your concerns regarding the google search and the number from another State. MO & IL are bordering States if you are satisfied with the answers then proceed. Otherwise, walk away and find another. I am sure there are 1,000 more out there for sale.

BTW if the price is lower than market, that’s another red flag.

Everyone always says, buy the seller.

If it doesn’t pass the smell test I’d advise your friend to stay away.

Naw If you face time them and they sound good ,be sure to send cash by wire - that way they get it right away and can get piece right out to you- buy the seller ! All the protection you need. Oh,then let us know how the seller sent you a counterfeit piece or nothing at all. Btw find one person on this site who got cheated that would tell you vetting the seller is sufficient! Not one will tell you all their sorrow wouldn’t have been prevented if only they had used PayPal or a CC . Funny how still people send money by wire or we hear sellers saying they only accept wires - that’s fine I will easily find a seller who will sell on my terms, period. Oh as some have said I may be crazy but I have bought many timepieces for as much as 60 thousand dollars and when the seller forgot to send a part of the complete set , he resolved it immediately. Of course , common sense would tell us to get the seller, but that very simply is not enough. There can always be mis- understandings even with an honest great well vetted seller. If you sent them money by wire , you are at their mercy ! Crazy as I am , I have elected to protect myself in any sale where I am the buyer. No I don’t have a “vested interest”in AMX or PayPal” I do have an interest in sharing what I have learned and not seeing any of our great folks on TRF get taken . james in San Antonio Tx
