Top Gear
Anyone catch the premiere of Top Gear tonight in the US. Buzz Aldrin was a guest test driver and he was wearing an Omega Seamaster Professional Bond

Saw that. Couldn't tell what Buzz was wearing, though.

I've never actually seen the program but I recorded it to my DVR. They just started showing it on the History channel and so I'm going to become a regular viewer.

I saw it lastnight, kinda sucks compared to the British version. Likie my son said, the 3 hosts don't have much personality!

BTW, Buzz Aldrin was wearing 2 watches. The Seamaster was on his left wrist. He had what looked like a big blingy gold chrono on a strap on his right wrist. WTH was he doing wearing 2 watches?

Tanner's the most convincing personality on the show, which is surprising given his past career. He speaks well, presents well, his skill behind the wheel is tremendous and he has a great deal of credibility in his opinions. The other two guys are trying too hard to be funny.

Most of the modern astronauts wear 2 watches in space. One is usually a g-shock or ironman for timing experiments.

The other one was a DeVille Hour Vision in 18k Gold.
If you pause and zoom in, you can see the lack of metal between front (dial) and back (caseback) and that is a feature unique to the Hour Vision line. (it's sapphire)

Wow, just to chime in on the US Top Gear debut....The US version is/was a abomination compared to the original British Top Gear. It was not original and tried to copy the original TG to the point I was embarrassed for them. I have seen infomercials with better host. I almost thought it was a Saturday Night Live skit.

TGUK is one of the best shows period.
I have yet to see the US version, I was looking forward to it though. Now, I'm not so sure if I should even go through the hassle of watching it.

I saw one episode of the Australian version of Topgear and it fell way short of the UK version.

I love the Britsh Top Gear. I warmed to the Aus version. I haven't had the pleasure of viewing the US version. I know this may be a little off topic, but it's been a dream of mine to see a "Motorcycle Top Gear"
What's more important, host personality/chemistry with other co-hosts/guests? Or motorcycle model choise, performance facts, ride locations etc? Get the formular right, you'll become famous, and you too, could become a ROLEX ambassidor
