New Speedmaster ‘57
I love my 3861 Speedmaster, but this new Speedy ‘57 might be a better daily. Anyone else out there with a Speedmaster ‘57?

I've been waiting to see your incoming photo. Looks amazing on you. More please if you can- especially a side profile. I love blue dials and I appreciate the case dimensions on this reference. I tried on a green 57 and it was an instant love. I am looking to pick up 1-2 pieces in 2024 and this one is on the short list for sure. Of course, the new white dial Speedmaster could be a problem too...

This one's a hidden gem. Very near perfect modern version of the original.

I like this watch! In my opinion it's ideal, can't wait to see the additional images that get posted.

Here are some more pics. It wears very comfortably. I love the flat link bracelet. The blue is also very subtle. Even more subtle than my blue DJ41. More pics to follow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Very similar wrist presence as the 3861 due to the longer lugs.

Thanks for the additional photos PTC. Very cool watch. I have a colleague who is getting one of these in shortly and I do plan on checking it out closely. I especially appreciate the last photo as I have the same DJ41 blue and a SMP300 blue so I don't think the 57 would be too redundant. Might not even care if it is as I am learning that its better to scratch the itch than overthink/overplan a collection. The heart wants what the heart wants kind of thing I suppose. Thanks again for the pics and congratulations on the fine timepiece.

I do love the green dial too, but I’m a sucker for blue dial watches. I do think the white dial Speedmaster will be incredible. Can’t wait to see one in person, but the Apollo 8 is still on my list. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

New Speedmaster ‘57
Super cool. I do wish it had a quickset date, but that’s my only gripe. Other than that, just about perfect. It’s a stunning watch and love how Omega made it thinner and manual wind. Congrats!
Oh and the Apollo 8 is also an AWESOME Omega. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It’s a sweet watch.
What’s everyone’s opinion of the red dialed one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The red dial looks amazing especially if you want something a little different. Every brand is doing blue & green dials lately. I always prefer blue dials due to the versatility. You can wear blue with almost anything. |

I own what I believe is an earlier version of the 57' re-issue that pictured. It's slightly different than the one that's been posted. Doesn't have the broad arrow minute hand and has slightly different sub-dials. Mine also came on a leather strap, rather than the bracelet and I believe is 41.5 mm (not sure the dimensions of yours). Still I really like these 57' re-issues. Great movement with a sapphire back. Two sub-dials instead of the traditional three, but leaves room for a date at 6:00.
And for whatever reason the version I have doesn't seem to get much love (see the thread I started below). I just picked mine up NIB a couple of weeks ago for slightly over $4000. I assume it's New Old Stock, which is why the dealer was looking to move it. Nevertheless, these are really nice watches and a great addition to any Omega collection. Enjoy yours. |
