High Quality Wallet

I'm in the market for a HIGH QUALITY wallet, that will:

1. Look GREAT
2. Last me a while
3. Won't be embarrassing every time I take it out. As in Doesnt SCREAM LOOK AT ME (Such as a crazy bright red, with large white lettering saying Balenciaga or something)
4. Have at least 6 card slots

I've had the same wallet for nearly a decade now, and it's starting to get a little beat up looking. It's a really nice, thick, black Gucci wallet with zero logos except for 1 small silver logo in the corner. It's classy, and plain, but still looks nice.

Most importantly, it's lasted me a long time.

I'd prefer if I could just order it from online, or pick it up at a physical location.

Being in NJ, I'm pretty close to Short Hills, and NYC.

I'd really like a nice high quality leather classy wallet that will look better with age and will last me a while. I don't care much for price so long as I get my moneys worth with time.

Any recommendations?

I picked up this LV wallet about a year ago and it's my only wallet so it gets carried everyday. I imagine it will last as long as I want it.

Like you, I wanted something nice but nothing with some obnoxious logo. It is all black on the outside with a small Louis Vuitton logo (gray on black) which blends in nicely.

My favorite part is the blue stitching on the outside and it gives it that pop of color when you open it up. If you don't care for the blue they have it with just the normal black on the inside as well.

Good luck in your search

Consider either LV or Burberry. I own, and am pleased with both.

I bought a Mont Blanc 6 CC wallet about 5 years ago when I was in NYC. All black with the Mont Blanc star on the front that is very understated. It’s been wearing very, very well. Headed to NYC in 2 weeks, may buy another one.

Reach out to Wilkinson fine leather goods and have him make you one. Second to none

This forum is very old.

I'm sure everything under the sun has been discussed before, multiple times.

If everyone searched, how many new topics would we have when there would be no more "will this hold value", or "Will XYZ hurt my watch" topics?

Let's just close up shop because everything has been discussed and we should just read all previous posts!

How is the design holding up?

How much do these go for? It's a really classy looking wallet.

How does it compare to your Faure Le Page?

Sorry about the glare. I suck at photography. It's actually black, the glare is making it look pewter. I realize Prada doesn't get much love here, but I have been pleased with this. Logo is same color as the leather, very stealth, draws very little attention on the exterior. Mine has a red interior, but they also make all black, and different combinations of logo color & exterior color. Also different versions of the logo, depending on how loud you want to get. Mine is a 6-card version with two bill/ticket compartments and two receipt compartments. They also make 8-card versions and card holders. The saffiano leather is quite durable.

It holds up very well. I wear it every day, in my front pants pocket, and not a crack or torn seam. I have been wearing wallets in front for years, ever since I started doing it for security reasons when traveling. An added benefit is it does not throw your spine out of whack. And wallets last much longer.

I sold my Faure le Page and LV wallets on the Realreal. Actually the wife sold them for me. They held their value very well. But no worries, I have a custom alligator billfold and an official Patek one as well, neither of which do I use.

Recently purchased a wallet ftom bosphorus leather and very pleased with it. Check them on Instagram. They ship worldwide. The service is excellent and you can ask them to customize it the way you like.

I think I posted this in another wallet thread so I might be repeating myself but I highly recommend checking out ETSY. You can pretty much get anything you want made with quality materials hand made by very talented small business owners and you won’t have to pay extra for a flashy name brand and logo. I’ve been extremely happy with both the quality and customer service I’ve received from the following makers: Awl&leaf, FrancoisGoods and GentlemenRevival. But there are a lot more out there making great stuff.

Not a noticeable luxurious brand, but hand crafted with quality leather and locally made.

I have had this basic coach wallet for about 8 years now. Wears very well and takes a beating well. Made from water buffalo in Africa somewhere I think.

High Quality Wallet

I’m a bit of a wallet ho! Over the past few years I’ve had several wallets custom made by a small craftsman by the name of John Allen Woodward in Colorado. All are full gator and extremely well made by hand. There are much higher quality than the over priced purse designers. Yes these are more expensive! However it takes years to break one in. Also his belts are amazing as well! Here are a few I’ve had made over the past couple of years!

If you want leather and a mid-point price + RFID security maybe check Bellroy

https://bellroy.com

And before you say, “hey, there’s only 5 cards slots...” - there is an extra secure flap where 1, 2, 3 more cards can hide.

Also comes in a tall bill format for international travelers.
