Very rare one. That’d be a sweet allocation if you can get it!

Does anyone know if the ice blue is the most rare of the 37mm's?

Before you made your post, OP never said this watch was for his wife. This is not the first thread in which you have felt the need to call out a 37mm watch as being for ladies. TBH it comes off like you are struggling with insecurities about your own masculinity.
Watches come in all different sizes, just like people. A gentle suggestion: stop caring about which is the "proper" gender for a given watch. enjoy your watch in whichever size feels good; nobody cares if you think their watch is "for girls." |

Is it possible to get this as a first piece in the US? I don’t have an ad anywhere near me. I called the Chicago boutique to ask about it and the dark blue 37mm. They told me it’s impossible and they won’t even put my name down. I don’t mind waiting a year or two for it.

Not trying to be discouraging, this giving you the lay of the land. AP is a different level from Rolex et al.

When selecting my allocation for my AP 15550ST, I had all of the choices, I went with the light silver. I selected it as a long term buy and the dial color would have to age well with time and be timeless.
I always found the dark blue and light silver to be the most classic of them all, not following any trend, just like a black 911 is a classic. The dark blue to me is more associated with the Jumbo, so I went with Silver and have 0 regret. The day I can get my hands on a Jumbo, I will happily enjoy the dark blue. |

I think that's a nice way of thinking of it. I don't know when I'd be offered a Jumbo, so I would basically have to choose what they offer me. My wishlist includes the dark blue, ice blue and grey. I think the ice blue is the most unique and the dark the most classic. The grey and white/silver are probably the most versatile.
