The 15500 also seems a little chunky and heavy and prices are crazy. I see a few other options like the GP Laureato, Piaget Polo S, and Chopard Alpine Eagle, etc. but wouldn’t want to lose my shirt if I don’t like and have to sell later. Is there anything I’m missing or should be looking at? Any recommendations? I already have a couple of 5 digit rolexes and like the feel of those, had the 6 digit ones and sold. So looking for light and comfortable.
Seems like Cartier Santos Medium has your name on it. Great history, classy, thin, iconic and not crazy expensive

Not a super well-known brand, I'm waiting on my tourbillon from them.

But this one https://www.horage.com/supersede is a GMT sports watch that's a micro rotor, in-house movement and 9.85mm. If you get in on the April 12th pre-order it's cheaper but delivery is end of the year.

Sorry folks, I never updated the thread! I ended up getting an AP RO 15500 black dial that I wear as I type. In the end, I could not resist. I was lucky enough to get from the boutique after a relatively short wait, but that was a year ago. I really appreciate all the great suggestions here though and some of these remain on my radar.

The midcase profile seems thinner than most of my Rolexes, so it feels thinner on wrist, but when you compare the watches overall, it is not much different. Overall, I love it but I’d also love to try a new 16202 someday and see how that feels in direct comparison.

This looks interesting; what colour dial and do they include a rubber strap as shown?

I think you can pick right now, and I think if you pre order they are going to give you a free rubber strap and the bracelet.

Bvlgari Octo Finissimo 103431. It doesn’t really getting any thinner. Screw down crown, shock resistant and 100 m WR. Loving it.

I was thinking exactly the same. Hublot watches have the same issue.
