Yeah people bringing in lawyers to threaten ADs is nothing new.... but these people tend to get blacklisted rather than get a watch in the end. After all, people who truly have connections and weightage in society don't have to resort to such tricks as their standings alone will get them the watch usually....

I'm sorry to hear your AP experience. I have stopped stepping into the AP boutiques nowadays because there is nothing for me and unlikely will change anything going forward.

Crazy. Absolutely crazy.

Yes there is some crazy story that under some local laws you cant have sold items or reserved items displayed in store. So if you try watch they cant tell you its sold or reserved so some people start bringing lawyers and hoping they will have opportunity to try and press legal arguments

Was hoping its not true

First, I have noticed SA's have gotten really numb to digital messages - almost as a coping mechanism to the deluge of messages they get daily. I know some SA's who were newly hired 1-2 years ago. They tell me that they felt compelled to quickly reply to all messages when they started. But now there is so many of them, between answering the land line answering the same questions over and over again, walk ins, internal staff meetings/trainings, etc, they have just gotten used to not replying to all messages.

Second, there may be a chance that something has slipped through the cracks. The boutique manager things they have done their job and are assuming the SA is doing theirs. They may be completely unaware their delegation has not gone as intended.

In turn, the SA may not understand who you are, and the what's app messages are literally below a stack of 100's of other messages unseen by the SA.

So I think visiting in person is as crawling, but cutting through the digital message inbox clutter in the only way possible.

For emphasis, the last time I went in to drop something off for service, there was no idle time for any of the SA's I saw. They were busy 100% of the time replying to messages and phone calls. But if they get 200 messages a day and reply to 60...that inbox math does not work in your favor even on a random basis.

Good luck and look forward to drooling over your new photos soon.
I... what?! So after I was asked the 7th time in 5h I stop answering my clients asking me how they should invest their money? Replying to questions and messages is their job and if they can't be asked to do that, they do a terrible job. If their company promotes that kind of behavior, it's a terrible company. I genuinely can't believe that you are justifying not replying to customers because "they are stressed out and get the same questions every they". We all are!

That's just nuts.... Even if they got a piece, it would more than likely be their last. Not an ideal way to establish a relationship.

As promised some updates.
Over the last few months I was able to well reconnect with the staff at the boutique.
They showed me love and all is good now.
Got introduced to my new SA.

Stay tuned...

I hope the patience proves fruitful for you. I should listen to myself sometimes as patience isn’t something that I’m blessed with. Again, good luck.

I must say this post was like an ongoing Netflix thriller. I read from beginning to end and was delighted to hear that hope is back. I’m staying tuned and hopefully you will have further good news to share. All the best.

After all these youtube channels on lives of watch dealers, I guess I'll start mine: "inside the life of a watch buyer" ;-)

Thanks

Glad it all worked out. You should do a one video series with high production quality. I'd totally watch it!

Seriously though, what happened after you went back to visit in person, how did it all get fixed for you?

Well I didn't do much. Just waited and eventually got a call back and was invited in a nice restaurant + good vibes all around so was very happy.

I must say I underestimated the amount of pressure the team was under and how much they were flooded with demand and requests from all around (existing and new clients).

Ah, btw, does the current edition of the 15416 still have the holes in the side of the links, or is the bracelet now constructed like the one for the revised 77350CE? Just curious...

Received a call this am from the boutique and they tell me a 15407ST is there waiting for me if I want to pull the trigger.

I was told if I pass, the 15416CE could be here in c.6 months...

But if I took the ST, then they wouldn't be able to allocate me a CE in the future.

I like both. ST is a classic and steel really makes the bracelet shine but CE is special.

What would you guys do?
dont pass on this piece and enjoy and be happy - wow what an allocation !! but now that I have read the entire thriller well done you !!!! congratulations :)
