Is there any hope ap would make a smaller offshore for men? 39 to 40 or 41mm, less than 13mm. I think they would generate a lot of interest. I'm in love with the 26420 43mm chrono but it would look comical on my 6.5 in wrist

They made the 37mm Music Edition w/o diamond bezel. Would be the easiest thing in the world to offer that as a regular production model with a more mainstream dial. Next year is 30th anniversary for the ROO. Expecting great things.

It's subjective, but I also have a 6.5 inch wrist and I thought the 43mm chrono fit well.
Hafiz also has a 6.5 inch wrist and it looks good on him IMO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-L0BH2S5jP4

More concerned about the fit of the 42mm since it's actually 2mm larger lug-to-lug and ~1mm thicker.

Really looking forward to the 30th anniversary of the ROO, hoping they bring back the ghost

It’s certainly possible - not 39mm but maybe 40mm.

They expect their entire releases over the next few years to move into the smaller sizing

This would be great imo. If they go smaller and thinner cases size, I think it will appeal to a broader audience. Leave the big sizes for the concepts.

haha yeah I wasn't being curt! I meant that as in 'is this your opinion or have you actually heard ramblings of this?'

Just seems bizarre to me as ROO was always 42mm+, supposed to be a more masculine, over the top piece. Seems wild to me if they start producing that as a 40.

The 43 is a new design which technically wears smaller than the 42 of old anyhow. Another reason that would throw me for a loop if they just started releasing everything smaller. They obviously put research/time/money into a new case design.

Totally agreed. I'd love to have several of the current offshores they're just too bulky for my wrist and arm. If they slim things down a touch it'd be a big hit.

40mm is my own speculation but they have told me specifically that they plan to move down to smaller sizes across the line over the coming years.

wow, very interesting!

I wonder if that means the 41 RO might get a downsize as well

Doubt it for the RO going smaller than 41mm as there are plenty of other RO references available in 37/38 and 39mm cases and also slimmer profile too.

No point in ROs downsizing. There's always RO Jumbo for <41mm

AP is all over the map with offshores. Remember the 42mm model 26480TI they made 2 years ago that everyone said was going to be the base on which future ROOs were built? This model has vanished and then they release both a 42mm and 43mm model. Not sure why? Would have made a whole lot of sense to release a bigger 42mm model and also a smaller 38-40mm model to sell to the guys who can't wear a 42/43mm model. I would like to buy an offshore someday but that will never happen as long as all models look like a tank on my wrist. A smaller code would be nice too although I do love my current Code.

My wife would like a smaller ROO that didn't have diamonds on it. I'd be all over a smaller, thinner Code...simple onyx dial no date/numerals.

I continually see the comments that "watches are trending smaller"...and while the Hodinkee crowd will cheer this on, I am not so sure that we will see it long term.

Watches have a renewed interest partially because of wearable tech. I see many more Apple watches then luxury (or even decent mechanical) watches on any given day when walking around. I do not think wearable tech is going to trend smaller...therefore, I do not see watches trending smaller.

Things are going to stick in the 39 to 45mm range mens watches (IMHO).

Yeah, not sure how that would work for the RO. The Jumbo is going to stay at 39mm until the end of time, and slicing things finer than 2mm (37/39/41mm) doesn't seem to make much sense.

More opportunity for mirroring the RO lineup on the ROO side, maybe 37/40/43mm. I actually like the 43mm fit a lot, just wish it could be 1-1.5mm thinner.

I really really think they need to try and make the diver thinner. I see zero reason it can't be 11 or 12mm thick.

I have the new 42 and a wrist just over 6.5. It’s large but doable

It looks like it is not, but it’s the tightest without being too tight. I’m kinda in between holes tbh

If hodinkee posters ruled the world everyone would wear a 34mm no date watch. Anything bigger just means you're compensating.
