SMURF crashes to Earth !

Ok I’ve been following SMURF (116619LB) prices.
I had one in 2011 and sold it in 2014 for a ridiculous low price in desperation.

Got divorced in 2018 and bought a new one again at an AD (I’ll never learn).
I don’t wear it much so I was thinking of selling but since I realized that the realistic range of the watch to simply sell to a dealer is 30k-35k and I paid 38k with tax all in I’m keeping,

ANYWAY…….I’ve been following SMURF asking prices at DAVID SW….

What just a few days ago used to be $59,575 has no become $47,500.

POOF !

It’s all good. Price is so low that SMURF may become a beater. Might as well wear it ! It’s not an investment ……or even as valuable as I once thought.

Smurf is a beautiful piece! If you like it, I'd say wear it, enjoy it, and don't even think about the value anymore. The investment return will be the enjoyment from wearing it!

I really like this reference and have been tracking prices as they've been declining to possibly buy. Unfortunately not a good time to be a seller at this time.

It’s really a beautiful watch. I’m not sure why there is a relative lack of interest? I seem to be drawn to pieces like this. Enjoy it! It is a really nice watch!

Don’t quote me, but I think it was just shy of $37k when it went out of production?

Speaking of Smurf though, I think they did the new white gold version a disservice and didn’t make the dial blue. That was special in my opinion.

No one is paying 48k for a Smurf lol. Even a wg pepsi is selling for 42k with no interest in the ads section

The LV is whatever

The white gold GMT has blue dial. The white gold sub should too. It was kind of a special thing reserved for PM subs, my opinion.

Yes Yes!! I agree completely. Just like the ice blue dials should be exclusive for platinum; Which is why that turquoise dial on the OP is such an interesting release piece and such a hot seller.

it wasn't that long ago these sold used for about 24,000 USD and languished at ADs new. Reminds me of the Hulk. Amazing what hype can do.
